Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions for using the Waad loyalty platform.

Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Waad loyalty platform, available at https://waad.tech and through our mobile apps.

By creating an account, accepting a loyalty card, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 to hold an account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account. Keep your login details and your QR code private.
  • Each person may hold one account. We may merge or close duplicates.
  • Tell us at info@waad.tech if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

One Wallet, Many Businesses

Your account is shared across every business that uses the platform. You register once and can collect at any participating business.

Points, stamps, and rewards are issued by, and redeemable at, the specific business that issued them, unless that business states otherwise. A balance with one business gives you no entitlement with another.

Each business sees only your activity with them.

Earning Points and Stamps

  • Points and stamps are credited by staff at the point of sale. You cannot award points to yourself.
  • Each business sets its own earning rates, bonuses, and rules, shown on the relevant card in your wallet. Rules may change going forward.
  • We may correct, reverse, or adjust any balance credited in error, against the rules, or fraudulently, including after a reward has been issued.
  • Points, stamps, and vouchers have no cash value. They are not money or property, and cannot be sold, exchanged, or transferred between accounts.
  • Points, stamps, and vouchers may expire under the policy set by the issuing business. Applicable expiry is shown in your wallet.

Rewards and Redemption

  • Rewards are available while stocks last and may be subject to redemption limits.
  • Vouchers are valid only for the stated purpose, period, and business, and are void if copied, altered, or obtained fraudulently.
  • Redemption is final. Rewards cannot be returned for points except at the business's discretion.

Referrals

Where a business runs a referral program, both the referrer and the referred person may earn rewards on the stated conditions. Rewards are void where a referral is self-referred, uses duplicate or fake accounts, or is otherwise manipulated. We may withhold or reverse rewards and close the accounts involved.

Membership Tiers

Tiers progress automatically based on your recorded activity. Tier benefits and thresholds are set by the business and shown in your wallet. Tiers may be adjusted where the underlying transactions are reversed or corrected.

Communications

  • Transactional messages such as passcodes, receipts, and account notices are part of the service and cannot be opted out of while you hold an account.
  • Marketing messages are sent only with your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or your preferences.
  • Push notifications are sent only where you have granted permission on your device.

Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Use another person's account or QR code without authorisation
  • Create fake, duplicate, or automated accounts
  • Try to award points or stamps to yourself, or induce staff to do so improperly
  • Manipulate referral, voucher, or tier mechanics
  • Probe or test the security of the platform, or bypass access controls
  • Scrape or bulk-extract data from the platform
  • Interfere with the platform's operation or overload its infrastructure
  • Use the platform unlawfully or to infringe anyone's rights

Breach may result in reversal of balances, suspension, or termination.

Availability

We aim to keep the platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. It may be unavailable during maintenance, updates, or events outside our control.

The wallet can display cached QR codes offline after your first visit, but staff still need an internet connection to record any transaction.

Changes to the Service and These Terms

We may modify the platform, its features, and the loyalty rules. Material changes will be notified in the platform or by email before they take effect. Continued use afterwards means you accept the change. If you do not accept, you may close your account.

Suspension and Termination

  • By you — close your account at any time by contacting us at info@waad.tech or using in-app controls. Unredeemed points, stamps, and vouchers are forfeited on closure.
  • By us — we may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms, suspected fraud, or where required by law. Except in cases of fraud or serious breach, we will give reasonable notice and a chance to redeem outstanding balances.
  • Program closure — if a business or the whole program closes, we will give reasonable notice where practicable so you can redeem outstanding balances. After that, unredeemed balances lapse.

Intellectual Property

The platform, its software, and its branding belong to us and our licensors. These terms give you no rights in them beyond using the platform as intended.

Content you upload remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display it as needed to run the platform.

Disclaimers and Liability

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data. Our total liability arising from the platform is limited to the value of your unredeemed balances.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.

Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Legal Framework

These terms operate under the laws and regulations of the Republic of Iraq. Any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Baghdad.

If any provision conflicts with Iraqi law, that provision is invalid, but the rest of these terms remain in full effect.

Language

These terms are written in English for accessibility. In case of any discrepancy, the Arabic version prevails.
